Achievement marks are a way to encourage, recognise and celebrate all of the brilliant things that students in College do everyday. By giving an achievement mark for a particular action, whether that be working really hard on a homework assignment or helping out a member of our community in some way, we remind students that this is the kind of behaviour that makes our College what it is.
We want to celebrate positive behaviours such as courage, curiosity, conscientiousness and kindness and, on reflection, it is clear that all of these behaviours are summed up by our values: Aspire, Inquire, Excel and Belong.
Achievement marks are therefore changing from this term so that they are explicitly awarded for one of the values. You can see the new achievement mark categories below:
We would encourage parents to also celebrate achievement marks with their daughter by asking why they were awarded and also giving their congratulations.
Achievement marks are visible to parents through the Satchel One homework platform.
